Second Chance Matric Registration for 2024. Second Chance Matric Programme Applications Are Open, The 2024 matric results have been released. Learners who want to improve their matric results can register for the second chance matric programme.
What’s Needed For Second Chance Matric Programme Applications
When applying through the district office, applicants are advised to carry the following documents:
- Identity Document
- Statement of results or matric certificate
- School reports are required for those who left school before matric
To register for the programme online go to www.eservices.gov.za or visit any Department of Basic Education office with an ID document and statement of results.
Learners must register to write for the examination and attending the second chance programme does not mean that you are automatically registered for the examination.

- National Senior Certificate (NSC) progressed learners (learners who wrote the NSC the previous year but did not sit for all 6 subjects) – June
